"This is Totally Going on MySpace."

Anybody who has been on MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, etc... knows that half the fun of going out with your friends is taking pictures of yourself.  Whether it's a group shot making inappropriate gestures, a solo glamour shot in the bathroom, a picture of you kissing a random boy on the cheek - whatever the case may be, it's almost always followed by a "This is totally going on MySpace."  Don't pretend you haven't said it.

The smart people at Sony are releasing the Cybershot DSC-T20 and T100, which are targeted at the ever present youthful party crowd.  Both models are 8-megapixels and less than a half inch thick (perfect fit for a tiny clutch or skin tight jeans).  Boasting features such as "Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization" and "face detection technology," this digicam is perfect for those of us who have had too much booze to take a decent picture.

While the T100 is slightly more advanced - with a 3" LCD screen (ideal for when you are too tipsy to see the screen clearly) and 5x optical zoom, the T20 isn't so bad either - 2.5" LCD screen and 3x optical zoom.  The camera allows for 340 pictures to be taken per full battery charge - perfect, because we rarely delete pictures the night of (that is reserved for the day after - grimacing at the horrible faces we're making or sweaty hair we have going on).  They are priced at $400 and $330, and will be available in March and April, respectively.  The color cases are designed to "match your party gear" and come in some really flashy colors.

Too bad the pink one is only available in the lesser advanced model!!

Quilted Laptop Clutches - Why?

My grandmother would love this.  Maybe that's the idea?

Timbuktusleeve

TimBuk2 Curly Q Sleeve for your laptop is essentially a quilt for your laptop to keep it warm & cozy (and safe, I presume).   It comes in girly colors like pink and purple, with pretty swirly stiching patterns, and is probably more delicate than one of those hideous rubber laptop sleeves.  However, I can't help but imagine it slipping out of my grip and falling to the ground... bye bye, laptop.  This would work best when keeping the laptop inside a larger bag, to protect from other contents of the bag (as long as it's not liquid, or hand grenades).   The sleeves are pretty affordable at $35 each, and come in different sizes to suit your needs.

I'm going to stick with laptop bags with handles, because safe-guarding the laptop IS, of course, the whole idea.

Back Up in Style - Gorgeous Pink Hard Drives

Backing up your data is necessary no matter who you are or what you're doing (and I'm sure I would rather not know what some of you are doing).  There are a bazillion hard drives on the market, of all shapes and sizes and of course, prices.  Why settle for boring silver when you can have a pretty pink one?

B000e57e5u01_ss500_sclzzzzzzz_ Take the LaCie 30GB Skwarim Portable Hard Drive.  Also available in 60GB, this was designed by award-winning designer Karim Rashid. Described as having a "high fashion look," it is pretty much a bumpy pink hard drive.  Small though, fits in the palm of your hand (considering your hands aren't the size of basketballs.)  Pink isn't your forte?   No problem.  It also comes in blue.  (What are you doing here?)

Seagate's Special Edition 6GB Pocket Hard Drive was specifically made to support Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  10% of each sale goes towards the foundation.  It's small, it works, and it's pink.  And in case it doesn't work, it has a 1 year warranty.  Sweet.

Pexagon's Store-It Pro 2.5" 80GB - a Hi-Speed USB Portable Hard Drive to fit in your purse and hold all your precious files.  Aluminum design provides ultimate protection.  It's got a single-touch button to backup, and it isn't too hideous either.

Another Useful Product for All You Lazies

Just what we need, another product to promote laziness.  No wonder America is suffering from an obesity epidemic.  No one has to get up off their butts to do anything anymore.  Turn on the TV, go shopping, whatever it is you need to do - chances are there is a gadget out there to do it for you, all from the comfort of your own chair (which, you may have actually fused with by now, lazy).  I really shouldn't complain, because lets face it, this stuff is cool, and anything that saves us time is great.  But this, is ridiculous.

The epitome of laziness:   the Self-Stirring Coffee Mug.  That's right, ladies & gentlemen, no longer do you have to torture yourself, rotating your wrist in a dreadful circular motion to get all the cream and sugar dissolved in your coffee (you poor thing!)  This battery-operated stainless steel coffee mug looks like any other boring mug, but with the push of a button it begins whirring it's contents around.

Selfstirringmug_large Keep in mind - it does have batteries so if you're gonna put it in a dishwasher or submerge it in water, you'd better take those out.

Now all we need is a robotic arm to actually lift the mug to our mouths so we don't have to keep using our arms.  What a pain in the ass.

RAAWR! Nano Monsters!

Are you sick of all the cutesie little iPod covers for your first generation Nano?  I'm not, but these little guys are so mean and scary, it's adorable.

What are they:  Nanomonsters

What do they do:  Keep your Nano warm with a little rubber bodysuit while looking scary cute.

Nm_mitts_r01_2 There are eight different characters, from Mitts, the evil pink bunny (my favorite) to T-bone the pirate and Skully the skeleton.  The opening at the bottom allows for you to plug in your headphones & iPod charger, but when nothing is plugged in, they stand up on their own.   Plus, one of their "hands" is a hook to attach to your clothes or bag.

Never again will I have to worry about dropping my iPod on the treadmill while I'm working out, because they are made of rubber and will bounce right back.  There is no screen or Click-Wheel cover though, so scratches are still possible.  Who cares, they look cool, and that is the most important thing after all.

Philips 598 For the Females - Or is it?

So Philips has announced the release of the 598 - a cell phone targeted for the female consumer.

Tell me then, why is it BLACK?

Philips598_large_2 The "chick" features include a body weight index & basal metabolic rate calculator(are you calling us fat?), a calendar, shopping list, a digital diary, etc.  The fitness tools might be helpful, because we women ARE always worried about our weight.  But the diary?  Who keeps a diary on their cell phone?  First of all, longer fingernails make it near impossible to text with, much less type a whole DIARY entry.

And no girl that I know is this organized.  Don't they know that our preferred method of organization is tiny crumpled bits of paper covered in chocolate all over the bottom of our purse?  This is way too complicated for us, the least they can do is make it appealing to the eye.

But, I can appreciate the effort.  After all, we are the hardest people to please.  :)

Pink Zune Blooms this May

Just in time for Spring, Microsoft will be releasing a pink version of the Zune on May 1 of this year.

Pinkzune_2 I don't personally use the Zune, but at least this shade of pink is prettier than one the iPod comes in.  Last year, Zune released a very limited 100 pink Zunes (in a much trashier shade of pink), and they were so wildly popular that someone actually paid $960 for one on eBay.  Are you kidding me?  So not worth it.

This one is delicate and beautiful, and will surely cost less now that it will be available to anyone and everyone.  ($249.99 to be exact)

The search is over, people, Gerbera Designs  have officially made the cutest, most versatile iPod covers in the history of iPod covers.

These come in about 50 different patterns & colors, to suit both male & female clients.  They have reinforced fabric, foam padding & a plastic cover for the face of the iPod.  But - they're handmade!  So that means that your iPod cover is one of a kind.

Some of the various designs include:  flowers, fishies, polka dots, stripes, skulls, houndstooth, robots, tattoos, gambling, golf, sushi, ice cream, hearts, need I go on?  They even have one for a dentist with LITTLE TEETH ON IT!  I'm not even a dentist and I want that one.  I actually want about ALL of them, but that would be irresponsible of me, considering they are $30 each.  But maybe just one.

The Ultimate Princess Bag

This is princess quality.  Yes, princess quality.  I mean, it looks like Chanel!  This 15.4" pale pink & white quilted leather laptop bag from Knomo is cute enough to carry even if you don't own a laptop.  The removeable shoulder strap is a MUST because those laptops can get really heavy!  This bag is stylish yet conservative, which is a tricky angle to play.

It comes with a bundle bag for your power cords, and even has a tracker system in case it gets lost.  So not only is it beautiful, it's smart too.

Image_4_32_0_or_teeliPinklaptopbag

I would, however, prefer if it wasn't made of full hide leather, not only because of the price(85 pounds, aka $167) but also because of the poor little animals.  What can I say, I am an animal lover.

Diamond Data Protection for the Uber Wealthy

How many times have you thought to yourself, "If only there was a way to safely store my data - and spend an obscene amount of money at the same time." Today, TechDarling has an answer for you.

Mii Stor's wide range of flashy USB drives come in stainless steel, silver, 18ct white gold, platinum, and of course, diamonds.  Diamonds?  On your USB drive?  So the drive is protecting your files, what is protecting the drive?

Miistor1Miistor2

Let's be honest, this is sparkling beauty is beyond delightful.   But if I really wanted to safeguard my data, I'd make it the least desirable as possible.

But let's pretend for a minute that we are extremely rich - what a luxury it is, carrying our documents & pictures in a blanket of diamonds, dahhhling.

It's Called Ego for a Reason, Notebook and Purse in One

Tired of carrying an ugly laptop inside a pretty bag?  Combine the two in one, bingo, you're done.  Right?  Well, Ego Lifestyle seems to think so, and have developed a product called the Tulip Ego - which is virtually a laptop handbag.  It's a Windows-based laptop with a 12" screen and probably doesn't have the most cutting-edge hardware, but it surely works and looks cute at the same time.

Owners Jl Highlights_2

It's only sold at Barney's, so you know it's high fashion.  You can buy different skins (some made of leather and diamonds) to match your different outfits.

It's got everything you need to perform basic computer functions, including an integrated camera with "mirror like functionality."  This is perfect for the fashionista (rich) girl who needs a laptop on-the-go, yet isn't too interested in the specs.

Fabulously Colored 7.2MP Casio Exilim

If you've been reading this blog, then you surely know by now that there is quite a wide array of pink cameras on the market.  But this one really gets me.  Why?  Because I have the exact same one in boring black.  Whyyyyyyyy!!  Was this around at Christmas?  If only there was a way to replace my boring black one with one of these.

Bluecasio Bluecasio2

Regardless, I'll have to sit and drool over these pictures.  It's 7.2 megapixels, has a 3x "anti-shake" opitcal zoom, and a 2.6" LCD display.

Pinkcasio

It comes in pink and "blue"(which looks more to me like a nice lavendar - very unusual in cameras), and of course the boring & safe silver and black colors.  It's a great camera and is quite affordable at $230.
