All you gold lovers will surely get a gold rush from this fancy little upgrade, a 24 carat gold plated iPod! Just send in your iPod and they install the hardened mirror gold backing for you.

The front of it is still white/black, but boy, she sure is purdy from the back!

Fuji FinePix Z5fd in Raspberry Red, Mocha Brown

Here's a pretty camera that comes in more colors than just the regular girly baby pink (not that there's ANYTHING wrong with that...)

The Fuji FinePix Z5fd comes in four delicious colors (seriously, it's making me hungry): Raspberry Red, Mocha Brown, Silver, and Pink.

Besides 6.3 mpx, a battery that lasts for 300 shots, and Face Detection technology, this camera offers "blog mode" for the easy upload of your photos. I'd be interested to see how well that actually works!

It sells for about $220.

Motokrzr Quartz is Perfect for the Vainest of the Vain

This is actually a great idea - you'd never have to bring a compact with you, or as a last resort, use your sunglasses as a mirror to apply your lipgloss. Don't pretend you haven't done it!

Aside from potential fingerprint smudges, Motorola's new mirrored Quartz is a very pretty phone.

Use Your Favorite Photo As a Laptop Skin

Not only does aspoke.com give you a billion options for skins for your laptop (patterns, solids, flowers, etc), but they also give you the option of uploading your own photo or company logo to put on your laptop.

For a reasonably inexpensive $33.30 (including shipping & handling), aspoke will transfer your image to a removeable, reuseable laptop skin to fit your notebook. This is the perfect opportunity to show off that picture of you with that hunk from spring break - all year long.

Mango Tango - Fashionably Retro Laptop Bags

Mango Tango has some of the absolute best patterns for laptop bags I've ever seen. They have a wide assortment of colors, patterns and fabrics, so you're sure to find something you like. Fortunately, they aren't too pricey, ranging from $40-$60, and are available in not one but two sizes, 16" and 18".

My personal favorites are the pink faux-suede quilted, and the canvas striped bag, which reminds me of those retro bowling bags.

Check out these new products from A-DATA, limited edition Pirates of the Carribean Flash Drive and SD Duo Memory Cards.

$30,000 Blue & White Diamond Encrusted KRZR, Anyone?

Just when you thought these luxury phones couldn't get any more elaborate, along comes the blue and white diamond encrusted MOTOKRZR Roma.

Roma - as in, the ancient Greek city. And this phone is almost as marvelous as the city itself.

The phone itself is Cosmic Blue - and is encrusted with a total of 325 blue and white diamonds (thats a total of 4-5 carats in weight) and 18CT white gold. It's designed by Peter Aloisson, has a reflective glass front, bluetooth, and an mp3 player.

Oh, and it's $29,992.50.

Does it get any ritzier than this?

Introducing the New Blackberry Curve

Just when you got used to your Pearl, along comes something newer & cooler for you to drool over.

Cue the music - introducing the fabulously sleek Blackberry Curve. Ok, so maybe it looks like all the others, with a slight curve to the body. But Blackberry is calling this smartphone the smallest and lightest full QWERTY Blackberry on the market.

It also features a 2 megapixel camera, intuitive trackball navigation system, high-performance browser, and an enhanced media player.

It is very pretty though, I'm very much into the lighter color of the body.

DOC Portable MP3 Speaker Dock - Clear Sound, Metallic Colors

The thermometer is inching it's way up to 90 degrees in Los Angeles today, a clear indication that warmer weather is here to stay. What does that mean for gadget lovers? As we spend more and more time outside, we need more and more gizmos to use on-the-go.

This portable MP3 dock by DOC is a perfect accessory to take poolside, to a picnic, or just to sit on your deck with, no messy cords to deal with. It's battery operated (3 AAs) and comes in four metallic colors (Pink, Green, White & Black). It's only compatible with 2nd Generation iPod Nanos, so if you ain't got that - you better keep on looking!

Your iPod fits snugly inside and at only $40, the price is definitely right.

Calling All Food Lovers - Fresh Baked USB Drives!

They make USB drives in just about every fashion so it's no surprise that Redismo has made styled some after our favorite foods. They come in 6 varieties - hamburger, hot dog, pizza, french bread, challah raisin bread (what? random), and sandwich.

They aren't available yet, as they were just spotted at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, but they will be available in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB.

They will be available from Vavalo.com. Mmm, tasty!

Helio Ocean - by May 21?

If you just can't wait to get your hands on one of these, good news may be coming your way. According to Boy Genius Report, Helio is planning a general release for May 21, with a limited/internal/partner release 5-8 days prior. That is just around the corner, so start saving your pennies.

Between the iPhone, the Ocean, and the new Blackberry Curve, you're going to have quite the decision to make. One plus the Ocean has - it offers 3G wireless access in addition to most instant messaging clients, e-mail support, GPS, Myspace Mobile, etc.

It's preeeeetty cute, too, and has a full QWERTY keyboard - which is ALWAYS a plus in my book. I absolutely loathe text messaging on a 'regular' keypad.

Eco-Friendly Lawn Mowing Solution for Lazy People

I guess this could work for those of us that are either a) lazy or b) busy. But even if you're neither, this seems like a good idea for helping mother nature in her quest to clean the planet.

It's called a LawnBott, and it's essentially a Roomba for your lawn. It runs on electricity, so there is no gas or oil involved (bonus - only costs $7-$10 in electricity a year!!). Just set up the docking station by an outdoor electrical outlet, let it charge, set the timer and let it go. It comes with wire fencing to put up around the perimeter of your lawn, to protect your rose bushes and neighborhood children. It can mow up to 33,000sq ft, so the average home owner will have no problem with the low battery power. It even has a rain sensor, so if it begins pouring heavily, the LawnBott returns to it's docking station immediately.

hrevolutionclose.jpg

It seems like a brilliant idea - my only question is if it has a safety lock on it to prohibit thieves from stealing it - after all, these puppies go for anywhere between $1,749 and $2,899, depending on the model. (Edit: The manufacturer DOES sell an anti-theft alarm!)

And please, if you do use this - lock up the family pets so they don't come in contact with this beast. Yikes..

Belkin's iPod Accessories - Pretty, Functional, and Philanthropic

Don't feel guilty splurging on this one, ladies. Belkin's new iPod accessories are not only completely adorable, but 10% of each sale goes to Susan G. Komen's for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Sport ArmBand holds your iPod comfortably and snugly all the while looking pretty in black and pink (and it's water-resistant). The Remix Metal sports a clear acrylic and pink brushed metal case with a little dangly thing to hook onto - well, whatever you want.

Vertu's Strawberry & Cream Leather Perforated Ascents

Nokia's luxury division, Vertu, has released yet another special edition of the Ascent - and this time, they look like Strawberries. And Cream! One or the other, because you can't get it in pink AND white, but pink OR white (what a rip off).

The leather is perforated to give it the appearance of a strawberry (think seeds). It will be available in Vertu stores beginning in June. This phone provides high-perfomance 20mm hands-free loudspeaker with advance Yamaha polyponic hardware. What, no strawberry scent misting off of it? Ugh.

For Those Who Like the Natural Look - Sony Ericsson S500

In the spirit of the season, Sony Ericsson has just announced their newest addition to the family, the S500. Adorned in energetic outdoor colors "Mysterious Green" and "Springtime Yellow," this slider changes illuminations and visuals with the seasons, hours, or days (you decide.)

It's got a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, music playback, and allows you to post your photos to your blog immediately. However, it won't be available until the Fall and it's unsure yet just who the carrier will be.

Purple RAZR Just In Time for Mother's Day

As if they needed an excuse to put out yet another RAZR. Motorola has fashioned a purple version of the uber popular mobile. It's going for $239.99, which seems a bit steep when really you're just paying for purple paint. But I am a fan of the RAZR so I can't really complain.

Diane von Furstenberg Pink Business Bag - More for Less

Anyone who knows anything about fashion knows who Diane von Fustenberg is. The fabulously trender designer is famous for her elegant yet vibrant pieces.

That's why I am wild about this bag! It's hot pink with white trim, and doesn't look a bit like a laptop bag. I guess that's why they call it a "business case slash laptop bag." But not only is it very stylish, but it's made of durable textured nylon fabric so it's lightweight, and is stain/water resistant. It also has padded compartments for your laptop and about 5billion pockets to hold your random junk - iPod, Blackberry, toy poodle, etc.

Lets cut to the chase - the best part is that it's on sale for $70 at luggageguy.com. It's normally about $200 so this is a total bargain. Get it while it's hot!

LG Refrigerator Is Everything You'd Need and More

I really need/want this. It's the smartest refrigerator I've ever had the pleasure to blog about (come to think of it, it's the ONLY refrigerator I've ever blogged about)... moving on, LG's Side-by-Side Refrigerator does just about everything you'd expect from a kitchen appliance, aside from actually cooking your meals for you.

It's packed with fabulous features but one of the best is the 15" LCD TV w/ Remote Control and the Weather/Info Center. It gives you a complete 5-day forecast for your area. You don't even have to leave your kitchen to get the news & weather... nice! The fridge also comes pre-loaded with gobs of recipes - something I'd definitely take advantage of. Other wonderful perks - the ability to store digital photos, FM radio, anniversary reminders, and touch-sensitive controls for the internal temp of the fridge & freezer.

How much for the TV/cookbook/refrigerator/datebook in one? $3,500.

lsc27990_l_l.jpg

lsc27990tt_infocenter_l_0.jpg lsc27990tt_tv_l_0.jpg

Doesn't the word refrigerator look a little silly when you type it 80 times in a row? Apologizing in advance for spelling mistakes. Refridgeramarator.

Metallic Red Ladybug Mouse - Cuter Than the Average Mouse

Why continue using a boring black or grey mouse when you could be using one fashioned after an adorable ladybug? This cutie patootie mouse by Brando is painted metallic red with big black dots just like the real life version (it might be a tiny bit larger, though).

ladybug_mouse.preview.jpg ladybug_mouse_1.preview_0.jpg

For just $14 this sweet bug could belong to you. And you don't even have to capture it from your mother's garden and try and make it live in your dollhouse (what?)

Pexagon's Store-It 2.5" Hard Drive Available in 5 Colors

As if you needed another, here is an excuse to finally buy a storage device for backing up your files.

Pexagon's Store-It Portable 2.5" Hard Drives are pocket sized, have high speed USB 2.0 technology, and are now available in 5 colors - only two of which I'm interested (Red, Blue). You can choose your capacity - from 40GB to 160GB - and can even have it engraved. Whether you need to transport photos or documents or genuinely just need to backup your files, investing in one of these is a good idea.

Vertu Ascent in Pink Leather is Worth More Than My Car

So here's the scenario: I find one of the most beautiful phones known to (wo)man, marvel at it's beauty and quality, and then take a look at the price tag - Wham!! $5,700. Go figure. But it's no wonder, the body is made of genuine pink leather and a liquidmetal alloy body that is tougher than aerospace-grade titanium.

Regardless, feast your eyes upon this beauty. It's not brand new, but it's new to me, and it was indeed love at first sight. It is even compatible with Cingular, my service provider. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with my budget. Or most of yours, I'm assuming (unless one of you is Paris Hilton - doubt it).

It's Time: Motorola RAZR 2 Announced

I'm sure you're as sick of the original RAZR as I am, so leech on this -

motorazr2official.jpg

The new & improved Motorola RAZR 2! It's 2mm thinner, with an attractive casing, "Crystal Talk" technology that automatically adjusts volume and tone based on ambient noise - as well as many other sweet perks (to name a few: external music controls, a full HTML browser, 2 mpx camera, the full suite of Bluetooth profiles, Windows Media Player sync, a 2-inch QVGA external display, 2.2-inch QVGA internal display, and twice the screen resolution of the original RAZR).

It should be available in July. More info here.

Genius Idea: Kodak's Fashion Camera Bags

Let's face it, the little black bag that comes with your new digital camera works, but it's not very attractive. Most of the time I don't even use it, and then later regret it when I wind up with scratches all over the screen (sadface).

So Kodak has made these little designer bags to fit digital cameras. They come in many different styles, and are cute enough to carry as a bag. Most of the time if I'm going out, I usually just bring my camera, ID, money, and lipgloss anyways, so if I can smash the rest of that stuff into one of these bags, all the better.

m4531_ekn032691enekn032691_250x200.jpg m4537_ekn032692enekn032692_250x200.jpg m4513_ekn032688enekn032688_250x200.jpg

They are affordable too, from $20 to $40 depending on style.

Put Your Favorite Art on Your iPod/Laptop With Gelaskins

So you are sick of the plain look of your iPod but you don't want one of those bulky cases. No problem! Choose from one of the many looks Gelaskins offer - what is a Gelaskin? Well, it's a beautifully stylish sticky vinyl covering that doubles as protective covering for your little music player.

It's not just girly stuff, either, they offer skins from maaany different artists, from the classic Van Gogh/Monet/Gustav Klimt to the contemporary artists such as Bob Dob, Audrey Kawasaki, and Alex Noriega. To see the full list of artists, click here.

41476.jpg 41636.jpg 41996.jpg

They also offer coverings for your laptop, 12", 13", 14", 15" and 17".

This is going to be huge, I can feel it. I'm a huge fan of art, so anything that allows me to protect my gadgets AND showcase my favorite art is a winner in my book.

Blackberry 8120 Gives Us 4 New Pearls with GPS and Wi-Fi

The latest from the rumormill brings us the pastel colored revision to the Blackberry Pearl, the 8120. Most notable additions will be GPS, Wi-Fi, a 2mpx camera, and three new colors - titanium, blue, and gold. This photograph shows four very Easter-y looking Pearls, so I'm not sure where that's coming from, but wouldn't it be nice to have a seafoam green Pearl?

It's rumored for a late summer release, so if you're in the market for a new Pearl - it'd be in your best interest to hold off.

Cat Walking On Your Keyboard? Try This...

Many of you might not have this problem, but I do, and it's a big one. First of all, I'm a huge advocate of kitty cats, and I have two at home. One of them simply must be with me at all times, including times when I'm on my computer. She really enjoys LAYING across the keyboard while I'm typing, or when I've walked away from the computer. Maybe it's the heat, or maybe it's because she knows it pisses me off, but - I can't tell you how many times I've come back to my laptop to see the screen magnified 5x because of some crazy key combination that she hit. Or how many gibberish instant messages she's sent to friends of mine that I haven't talked to in years. Try explaining that.

So this is a Kitty Keyboard Kover, and it's just a piece of (very strong) plastic to cover your keyboard - simple in theory but VERY handy... and cats love flat surfaces to lay on, so it makes everyone happy. It's sturdy, and will support weights of up to 16lbs - that's enough to hold my fat cat - and comes in different sizes.

1676_500x335.jpg 1683_500x300.jpg

Unfortunately this product won't work as well with my laptop, because if I'm not using it I can simply shut it, but for those of you with desktops experiencing similar trauma - I'd look into getting one of these. Bonus - it keeps kitty hair out of the keys!!

Geeky Yet Stylish Interior Design from Mixko - Atari Joystick Candle

I'm sure there are quite a few of us geeks out there that have a soft side as well, even you hardcore old-school gamers that are familiar with Atari.

Get romantic yet stay true to your geekdom with an Atari Joystick Candlestick from fabulous UK designer Mixko.

mixkod4.jpg

Although it was initially the joystick candle that drew me in, I found these charming little stools available on their site as well... too bad their site is ridiculously hard to navigate and you can't bookmark it. Oh well, good luck! They do have some retailers in the US.

Wireless Wristband Vibrates When Your Cell Rings

For those of us who have handbags the size of a bathtub, losing our cellphone amongst the rubbish is a common problem. Especially when you miss five important phone calls because the ringer is muffled by the ever growing contents. Wouldn't a vibrating wristband be a real treat? BQ Wireless sure thinks so, enter the "BlueQ," a vibrating wrist band that .. well, vibrates, when your phone rings.

This could come in handy when you're in a loud place, a concert, a club, etc, or if you're in the movies and don't feel like keeping your cellphone out. Or if you just simply don't feel like carrying your phone around, as long as you don't go outside of the 30 ft perimeter.

It's not the cutest thing ever, but they have something called Qskins, where you can actually upload your own images and have a skin made that you wrap around the band.

Making Rainy Days Desirable: The Internet Umbrella from Pileus

Call me old fashioned, but I thought the point of an umbrella was to stop rain from falling on your head. But technology is everywhere these days, even on the inside of your boring umbrella...

This umbrella by Pileus is connected to the internet to make your walk through the crummy rain a bit more entertaining. It has a large screen on the top surface, a built-in camera, a motion sensor, GPS, and a digital compass, and it provides two main functions; A Social Photo-sharing (through Flickr) and A 3D Map Navigation (powered by GoogleEarth). You can also enjoy streaming video courtesy of YouTube.

252986258_9c00b43cfd.jpg

flickrmode.jpg

You can't buy this yet, because it's only a prototype, but they are pushing to make it a commercial product. Check out the website for more info.

Question: Wouldn't it make it difficult to watch where you're walking if you are playing the latest vacation pics or funny YouTube video in your umbrella? I can see it now, people walking straight into lightpoles and enormous puddles, and fights breaking out because distracted consumers are running into one another!

Ear Muff Headphones - You Make, I Buy

As I was sitting here this morning, freezing to death in this igloo of an office, I had an epiphany. Or rather, a fabulous idea for a product that someone needs to make. Ear Muff Headphones. Hear me out!

I don't know about the rest of you, but quite often here at TG Publishing we need to have our headsets on, so that we can make calls over Skype. Sure they look ridiculous, but that's the price of business, I suppose. Why not just go the extra mile and cover them in fur? (Fake, of course. I'm an animal lover.) Why? Well, besides looking undeniably adorable, I'd be keeping my ears warm & cozy. You see, someone decided that because we live in LA and it's May, we must turn the office thermostat down to 55 degrees (well, 70, but I dont' have much body fat to keep me warm).

Couldn't you just see it now - snow bunnies at work! This really wouldn't work for men, but for the girls I know out there in freezing cold offices - I think they'd probably use these even if they didn't need to wear headphones. Am I right?

BTW - if you know if any manufacturers of cute, fluffy headphones - please, share!

These pricey bags by Violet May London are the ultimate in couture laptop bags. They are made of italian leather, have a 100% silk taffeta wrap strap (2 of them so you can be sure to get the perfect length), super soft satin padded interior, as well as gold fittings & studs on the base for when it's standing. It comes in three different color palattes, all equal in beauty. At $695.63, you are definitely paying for quality.
