Ear Muff Headphones - You Make, I Buy

As I was sitting here this morning, freezing to death in this igloo of an office, I had an epiphany. Or rather, a fabulous idea for a product that someone needs to make. Ear Muff Headphones. Hear me out!

I don't know about the rest of you, but quite often here at TG Publishing we need to have our headsets on, so that we can make calls over Skype. Sure they look ridiculous, but that's the price of business, I suppose. Why not just go the extra mile and cover them in fur? (Fake, of course. I'm an animal lover.) Why? Well, besides looking undeniably adorable, I'd be keeping my ears warm & cozy. You see, someone decided that because we live in LA and it's May, we must turn the office thermostat down to 55 degrees (well, 70, but I dont' have much body fat to keep me warm).

Couldn't you just see it now - snow bunnies at work! This really wouldn't work for men, but for the girls I know out there in freezing cold offices - I think they'd probably use these even if they didn't need to wear headphones. Am I right?

BTW - if you know if any manufacturers of cute, fluffy headphones - please, share!

LOL! Cold at 55 *(or 70)? It think it is a marvelous idea but I don't think too many women will be wearing them when its warm, however in states like where I live, Maine, it would be great! From about the middle of October until March it is usually cold enough for them. Also they don't have to be headsets, they could also be headphones for an Ipod or other mp3 player.

You sure do have a good idea for outdoor Walkman style headphones in the winter. (can't say I've used a portable music player since cassette tapes - I've even managed to avoid CDs entire, sticking with vinyl; don't ask)

However, indoors I don't think would work at all. At 70 degrees fahrenheit, I'm still just barely leaving the realm of "it's so dang hot I'm sweating just sitting here at my PC" and at 55 degrees fahrenheit I'm only JUST reaching the midrange of my comfort zone. (it spans from about 40 degrees fahrenheit to about 65 degrees fahrenheit)

I don't think these would ever sell for indoor use (I.E. with the microphone) except in extremely cold climates way up north.

Hello, my name is Gudvin, I like yours blog.
