Jacket With Built-In Lungs Reminds You Why Smoking is Stupid

We all know that smoking is stupid, unhealthy, disgusting, expensive, etc etc etc. But an addiction is an addiction and maybe a constant reminder like this would help a smoker kick this dirty habit in the butt!

It's a Smoking Jacket from Fiona Carswell. This isn't your fancy, sophisticated smoking jacket though, this jacket has transparent pockets in the front of the jacket (where your lungs are) that actually fill up with exhaled cigarette smoke and turn the "lungs" black with time. This is from the same people that gave us the Mole Bikini.

Very smart idea. Now, I challenge you to find a smoker that would actually be willing to wear this!

Samsung's Super Skinny Pink Mouse

Samsung's "Ultra Slim Mouse 8.0" is one of the teeny tiniest, cutie-patootiest mice I've ever seen. It comes equipped with a scroll wheel and a retractable USB cord. Comfort wise, it doesn't look too ideal for everyday use, but it would be good for travel, because of it's compact-ness (it's only 8mm thick). It also comes in white, silver, and black, but I'm sure you all want pink. :)

Right now it's only available in Korea, but I'm sure we'll get it sooner or later.

Samsung's Anycall Miniskirt Phone - Weird Name, Cute Look

Samsung has newest addition to the mobile phone game, the SCH-C220, or the "Anycall Miniskirt Phone." Not that I don't love a good miniskirt, but that is a pretty wacky name for a cell phone and it reminds me of a certain role played by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I guess it SORT of resembles a miniskirt? Here is a photo to prove it:

samsung_4.jpg

If you say so! The phone is really cute though, it's a slider with a touch screen similar to LG's Chocolate. It comes in white, red, and blue, and features built-in GPS, a 2mpx camera, mp3 player, bluetooth, and an electronic dictionary (that could actually come in handy, I visit dictionary.com quite frequently). In keeping with the on-going ultra slim trend, it's also only 10.9mm thick.

The phone is only available in Korea, for the time being, and is retailing for about $650. Pretty expensive, but pretty cute as well.

Smart Lids Prevent Burns from Scalding Hot Coffee

So the coffee cups and lids we drink out of tell us "Careful! Beverage is Hot!" But - just how hot is it?! There is nothing worse than burning your tongue so badly on your latte that you can't even taste the rest of the drink. Of course they make the drinks so darn hot that you can't even begin to drink it for at least 15 minutes! Smart Lids are a new creation that indicate when your drink is of reasonable temperature to drink.

The lids are a "coffee bean" colored brown when the drink is cold, and the color additive allows the lid to change to bright red when at the hottest temperature. The continuous brown ring around the bottom shows you that the lid is on securely.

Hopefully we'll start to see more coffee houses using something of this nature, because I'm tired of testing temperature only to be burned. :(

Official iPhone Release Date: June 29

Get your credit cards ready, people! Apple has announced the official release date for one of the most anticipated gadgets in recent history. The iPhone will be available through AT&T(Cingular) on June 29. Two versions of the phone will be for sale, a 4GB for $499 and 8GB for $599.

For a closer look at the iPhone in all it's glory, take a look at this video from Macworld of Apple's Phil Schiller explaining all it can do.

Now I wonder... how long do you think it will be before an updated version of this is released? 6 months? One year? Comment with your thoughts.

Why Spend 25k on a New Car? Get a Diamond Studded Mouse

Are you one of those people that has to have the biggest and the best of everything? If you answered yes, then you need this mouse. It's made almost entirely out of 18k white-gold, and has 59 brilliant cut diamonds (totaling 2 carats) in the shape of a flower on the top of the mouse. Don't like flowers? No problem, Swiss manufacturer Pat will arrange the diamonds in a pattern of your choice (maybe a dollar sign?).

pat_says_now_diamond_flower_mouse_1.jpg

This optical mouse can be yours for the price of a new car: $25,030. The extra $30 must be for the hideous black track ball. I mean if you're going to sell a 25k mouse, at least make the track ball the same color scheme as the rest!

Kick It Old School With Vintage Gameboy iPod Case

It's time to take it back, all the way back to the original Gameboy days of 1989. This is amazing, it's a "vintage" Gameboy that has been gutted and rewired to house your iPod mini or nano. It's actually fully functional, too, so you can use the Gameboy buttons to adjust volume, choose your songs, etc, and has a jack for your headphones.

Sure it's not the most attractive, sleek, or practical iPod cover, but I guarantee you'd get a lot of kudos for this.

Get it while it's hot, there is only one of them for sale at Etsy.

I do adore this color, but I am who I am, and I still like the pink one better. :)

Wake Up with iHome's Charming Pink Alarm Clock

It's always preferable to wake up to your favorite tunes rather than the "Bleep!! Bleep!! Bleep!!" of your average alarm clock. iHome is no stranger to iPod-docking music players, and now offer one of their fabulous alarm clocks in an appealing pink color!

10178_58_2.jpg

The iH4P is a bit tall, but it's not too wide, so if you haven't got much space it will work nicely. Plus the snooze button is in an easy-to-reach place (on the bottom), and after all that is the most important thing. It's got a sleep timer that you can set so you can not only wake up to your music of choice, but fall asleep to it as well, has a remote control, features EXB (Extended Bass and Reson8) sound quality, and is battery operated so in the case of a power failure, you're still good to go.

It's only $49.99 and has free shipping if you order from iHome directly.

MSI GX700 17" Gaming Notebook is Pretty Enough for the Girls

MSI's new 17" gaming notebook, as seen at Computex 2007 in Taipei, appears to have had some ACTUAL feminine direction in the design process. It seems that nowadays the people designing the 'girl gadgets' just haven't got a clue what we like. This glorious notebook, the GX700, is pretty and delicate enough that even my Grandmother would like it, and trust me, she's not a gamer.

No word yet on where, when or how much dough this sweet baby will be.

For all you gaming girls, have a look at the specs: 1.3M embedded webcam, Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology, nVidia Geforce 8600M GT 512MB, Full DirectX 10 support, HDMI output, 4.1 Channel Speakers and optional Embedded TV Tuner.

Storm Watch Ring - Completely Un-Weather Related

When I read "Storm Watch Ring" I got really excited because I envisioned a ring that alerts you when a storm is approaching the same way those weather radios do. I'm one of those strange people who actually loves extreme weather, and being originally from the east coast and having lived a bit on the Gulf of Mexico, I have experienced quite a few hurricanes. I don't know why but I love it! It's such an adrenaline rush (minus the horrible aftermath, don't like that part).

However, this is simply a ring that has a clock built into it and is manufactured by jewelry company Storm. It comes in pretty colors like pink, blue, aqua, green, violet and silver. It's still pretty cool, but not as cool as a ring that starts beeping loudly and issuing alerts from the National Weather Service.

Ultimate Protection from the Elements: Titanium iPod Nano Case

It's always a good idea to protect your iPod with a case, but do you really need a solid titanium case? Unless you're planning on running your iPod over with your car, or taking it onto the battlefield with you, you might just be wasting your moolah on this guy. Although it looks kind of cool, it's kind of pointless protecting your $150 iPod with an $820 case from Kiwami Studios. Yes you read that correctly: $820!

Virtual Bubble Wrap for the Popping Addict

Popping the bubbles on bubble wrap is just as gratifying and exciting as unwrapping whatever the bubble wrap was protecting. I don't know a single person that doesn't love popping those things - with your fingers, or, by stomping it or rolling around on it. The possibilities are endless!

Now you can pop as many virtual "bubbles" as your heart desires with this delightful gadget from Bandai Asovision. It's called PuchiPuchi, and it's a little keychain with 8 bubbles ripe for the popping. It actually makes a popping sound, and every 100th pop, you get a bonus sound - think "sexy voice", "dog bark" or, "fart" (gross!) It also comes in 5 colors.

Adorable Uploading Accessory - Mega Steno USB Card Reader

This could quite possibly be one of the most delicate and feminine USB card readers ever made.

It's small, black, sleek, and is covered in gold flowery things. The Mega Steno USB 2.0 Card Reader supports like a billion different types of memory cards (Compact Flash I/II, Microdrive, SD/MMC/MS: Secure Digital(SD), SD2.0, SDHC2.0, miniSD, miniSDHC2.0, microSD, etc etc), and supports data exchange between different slots. It retails for $25.

But the big selling point here is obviously the way it looks, so.... feast your eyes upon this.

Sony's NW-808 Walkman Now in Pink and White

If you are anti-iPod like so many out there, you may have already had your eye on the modernized Walkman from Sony. Not only does the gadget have a much, much bigger display, but this new 8GB version (NW-808) is available in pink and white for the mediocre asking price of $267.

It'll be available in Japan starting July 10, but no idea when us Amurikans will get our paws on them.

Gadget Holster Looks Ridiculous, Provides Amusement

I already have a pet peeve with people who wear their mobiles and other gadgets on their belt, circa 1999. This 'gadget holster' really takes the cake. The only thing worse might be a toolbelt full of gadgets. Do not be fooled! This is NOT cool, or hip, or "James Bondy" as noted on the product page.

However, in spite of my warnings I still have a feeling some men will buy this. And use this. Sigh...
