MSI's new 17" gaming notebook, as seen at Computex 2007 in Taipei, appears to have had some ACTUAL feminine direction in the design process. It seems that nowadays the people designing the 'girl gadgets' just haven't got a clue what we like. This glorious notebook, the GX700, is pretty and delicate enough that even my Grandmother would like it, and trust me, she's not a gamer.
No word yet on where, when or how much dough this sweet baby will be.
For all you gaming girls, have a look at the specs: 1.3M embedded webcam, Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology, nVidia Geforce 8600M GT 512MB, Full DirectX 10 support, HDMI output, 4.1 Channel Speakers and optional Embedded TV Tuner.

Hello folks,
Think the skin is beautiful and the notebook nice?
Then you might want to talk to the owner Mark over at www.killernotebooks.com and/or hit the forums at www.guruofgaming.com
Because he does personal graphics/skins and at a better resolution and with better scratch protection for your personal graphics/skins.
His notebooks are also modded for better heat dissipation and perform better than the average cookie cutter notebook from other manufacturers.
Some of you may have already seen the power poin...errr I mean "review" on his notebooks at toms in the past, so this probably isn't news to you.
All the same, nice catch Tech Darling.

Hello "Anonymous:"
I will have to agree up to a point about your statement: "it sucks, nvidia 7950gtx it's much better". Yes the 7950GTX mobile performs about just as well as the 8600M GT but unfortunately that's the 8600 is the only DX10 portable GPU your going to see for a long time to come.
We will not be seeing any true 8800GTX mobile GPUs in a notebook anytime soon due to power consumption issues, notebook battery lifetime of about 35-45 minutes with a 8800GTX is my guess, and heat issues that would accompany a 8800GTX in a notebook.
With a mobile 8800GTX the notebook would survive for a few weeks and maybe if your lucky a few months but eventually the notebook or GPU would die because of inadequate ventilation and control of heat. All you have to do is look at desktop PC's and the lengths others go through just to keep "1" 8800GTX and the rest of the PC components cool inside a tower case.
Am I a fan boy of Vista, hells bells no!
Do I want DX10, yes but I will never see it for WinXP Pro so I will learn to live with out it.
We will see M$ or Nvidia qualify the 7950GTX for DX10, no because it makes money for both sides if they keep DX10 qualifications reserved for the 8xxx generation of GPUs no matter how poorly they perform as in the 8600M GT.

Actually a 7950GTX is considerably more powerful than an 8600M GT. In fact, the 8600M GT only performs around a 7900 GS. A markedly weaker card.
You will be surprised when you see what Nvidia is up to shortly in the mobile graphics card space.

Very beautiful! I think my girlfriend would like it, but 8600GT is useless and unnecessary for her.
